John Langford is a machine learning research scientist. He works at Microsoft Research New York, of which he was one of the founding members, and was previously affiliated with Yahoo! Research, Toyota Technological Institute, and IBM’s Watson Research Center. He was the program co-chair for the 2012 International Conference on Machine Learning.

At MongoDB World last week, MongoDB Inc. the company announced a new Connector for Apache Spark, enabling data scientists and developers using its database to enjoy the benefits of real-time analytics from rapidly-moving data. The MongoDB Connector for Apache Spark enables users to glean insights from “live, operational and streaming data”, MongoDB officials said.
